Default UHD on Comcast

Anyone getting Universal HD anywhere on their channel guide. I've noticed that people on the other forums are noticing it on their guide through the INHD channels

I think they're adding UHD 'cause NBC owns it and they're showing some of the upcoming olympic stuff on it. Hope my local Comcast adds it to my lineup!

OK, just noticed that it is on channel 175, which is normally INHD2, right now watching Night Rider, kind of looks like a zoomed in 480P image, but nonetheless, I'm happy that I'll be able to watch some realtime olympic games. I'm assuming this is for the entire Chicago area Comcast, which stretches from Southeast Wisconsin, Northwest Indiana to South Bend. Don't know about Southwest Michigan.

Angry I want my INHD2

I am new to Hi Def. I got my new TV (SONY KDS-R50XBR1) last Saturday, just in time for the Super Bowl. In testing it out, I discovered the IMAX programs on INHD2. They really showed off the capabilities of my new set. I am disappointed that INHD2 has disappeared from COMCAST lineup without warning. I hope they bring it back after the Olympics.

In chicago INHD1 is 174. INHD2 (now UHD) is 175. There is an HDSE on 208 but it does not show much. Maybe they will use this channel for UHD?? What I have seen of UHD I have not been impressed. It shows to many old 80s show reruns like The Equalizer *yawn*.

I agree and the PQ on these old shows converted to HD isn't that great. Hopefully, as someone else stated in this thread, this channel will be broadcasting some olympics.

My HDSE channel now says INHD on the screen, and when tuned on my TV, it say NFL TV. Where I'm at, the NFL Games of the Week were shown on it, and ocassionaly a program from INHD. Most of the time its off the air.

Yeah it would be nice if for once comcast was not so sloppy when doing things. For example, the Guide still lists the channel as INHD2 but it really is UHD, thus the schedule info is wrong. Also it would have been nice if comcast had comunicated the change. I checked for a message but there was none. Hopefully the HDSE becomes INHD2 or something because as it stands now its pretty useless.
