Default Blu ray vs hd dvd blu ray a winner

I was in a hi def store an I did my own comparison of hi def vs blu ray there was 2 identical sony xbr 3 40 an 46 in screens 1080p
! set had a blu ray disc from samsung blu ray the other had a hd dvd player from panasonic. Although 720 p looks very nice on the hd dvd player the blu ray is much sharper, deeper colors an better blacks.

Dont read an get caught up with consumer reports go do a side by side comparison

All color tint brightness an contrast where identical

My opinion blu ray is the clear winner because the blu ray dvd player can also play your standard dvd of the past an they are 480 interlace and it is a much better picture.

Panasonic does not make an HD player.

And what would you have us make ofthe High Def reviewers who have given HD discs 5/5 or 10/10 for PQ and SQ?

Thanks for the 100% UNBIASED thread.

You are saying HD players cannot play standard DVDs?

This is the most useless thread ever.

This thread should just be deleted.

If not:

1. Panasonic does not make a HD-DVD player.
2. HD-DVD players play SD DVD's.
3. Don't what the interlaced thing is about.

OR

The starter of this thread is just a prankster!

Wow. I guess it's a good thing you can't form a sentence - it makes it easier to tell you have no clue what you're talking about.

You need to go back to that store and start over. This time you should really ask questions while there.

The closest thing I get from this post is that the Samsung BD player is better than the Panasonic BD player (if it was a BD player but might have beed a SD DVD player). The problem with that is everyone says the Panasonic BD player is better than the Samsung BD player which is why I think the Panasonic player was a SD DVD player used to show the BD improvement.

This is a pretty useless thread though since I THINK the only thing the OP got RIGHT was that the Samsung player was a BD player.

480 interlaced is a much better picture? This has got to be a troll.

I love when a new person joins and makesa big claim like say one format is better then the other or you know some big question which noones sure off. I imediatley start looking for something to prove it's BS and nothing makes me happier then when they slip up and get caught in the first post.

What does 720p have to do with it?

It sounds to me like this guy asked the salesman which was better and why...then took his word for it
