Question BluRay w/older receiver

I have looked around the forum a little and don't know where to start. I have an older AV receiver but it doesn't have optical/hdmi/coax but it does have 6 separate RCA plugs to connect to a DVD player and then connect a multi channel amp. Is there a blu ray player that have a external/6 RCA outs or decoder to by pass the optical out? Is there a box or a processor that will accept the HDMI/digital and send it back out with the RCA?
I apologize in advance if this is a dead horse and appreciate any help.

Although not as common as initialy when HDMI came out and not many people had an HDMI unit there are still several companies and models that have analog mutlichannel outputs. It is a bit of a catch 22 though as many of these cost as much (if not more ) than a new entry to mid level receiver with hdmi inputs.
If you gave a budget and whether you wanted new or used/refurbed that would help.

A player for under $700 would be nice. I hear the PS3 is a nice player but I won't be able to take advantage of the surround.

As the last PO says, you need a BD player with multi-channel out put. to match your avr. It will definatly carry the high res. audio.
I am using a 13 yr old avr, with my Oppo 93 and a nuforce mod (NE) and it is terriffic! Upon Blu ray being released, I was wondering if I needed a new avr with hdmi. Having been listening to multi-channel music since 2000, I was already into high res audio, (dvd audio/sacd. ) and now BD. I love music videos on blu ray! You add the lossless audio and wow! Look around, lots of man. made them with analog out put. You may still find them new also.

We have that model sony also. It just killed me that they took sacd support away from them. Why I ended up with an oppo.

They did the same with PS3. I have a stand alone player for DVD-A and SACD now.
