Default 5th element remastered

Saw it in the store, my whole family loves this movie, we have about 2 copies already (SD and Superbit). So how does this version look in br?

Ya know I own it but have not had a chance to watch it on BR yet.. Probably because I watched it on TNT HD not long ago.. I will pop it in today and check some of the good action scenes out and let you know..

It got 4 1/2 stars on HDF where the original only got 2 1/2.. I beleive the reviewer used the term heads and shoulders above the orginial BR release...

I have it on SuperBit and I can't bring myself to double dip, I've seen it so many times!...but I may if none of my friend have seen it (I like to host movie night).

The version looks great, but it is not among the very best Blu-rays regarding pq. In fact the older CGI shows and some shots are a tad iffy. I'd rate it 4/5.

If you love the film, the remastered version is well worth getting by all means.

Yup I popped this baby in yesterday and was loving it, I actually watched more of it than I intended on but its just that type of movie.. PQ is great not consistent but for the most part its pretty damn good..

I have this on SUPERBIT which when veiwed on Sony BDP S301 is already super sharp both PQ and AQ I don't think the remastered BR version is going to be that much better, but then again if there is enough positive postings I may pick it up on E-Bay ($15)

here are some screenshots, taken directly from the Blu-ray. Click on the thumbnails for the full picture. Should give you a good impression about the pq. Remember moving video always looks better than the single stills.

I just directly compared the Superbit, upconverted on a Toshiba XA2 and the Blu-ray. The Blu is a major improvement.

I know this will sound dumb but.... how can you tell the difference between the remastered copy of The Fifth Element and the standard release blu-ray by looking at it's cover. I ordered a copy from amazon and it just arrived but nowhere on the cover of the disk does it say anything about being remastered. Want to make sure I got the right copy before I open it. Maybe someone who has a copy can post the sku number form me.

"While the box art for this remastered edition is nearly identical to the earlier Blu-ray release, the words "Experience High Definition" appear in silver foil, (not gray), and Dolby TrueHD is listed among the audio tracks on the back of the box on this new edition."

The remastered version also has a sticker on the shrink wrap indicating REMASTERED go on E-Bay and check BLU RAY DVD's for the fifth element dvd's and view the remastered pictures and note the oval foil sticker on the lower L/S stating " REMASTERED" numbers on the ISBN 1-4248-7332-Q & o 43396 21520 7

Finally got around to watching it today, and was blown away. It looks SO good!! Totally blows upconverted SuperBit away! I really felt like I was there in the theater [something I never had a chance to do]. If your a fan of the genre or simply love this movie [check on both accounts] this is one film worth double dipping!
