apartment setup with one dish?

We are rebuilding an 8-plex for a guy after it was hit by lightning.

3 of the tenants had satellite so up to 9 dishes hanging all over the place.

Hes wondering if there is a solution for one dish or one setup that would be able to feed 8 apartments, and probrably 2 tuners per apartment.....

He doesnt want to just provide service like a motel......but rather they could get service from the installed dish. Each tenant still having to pay a bill to dish.

I doubt theres any such thing but just wondering.

Thanks

How about a Dish 1000.2 or 1000.4 maybe even a 1000+ (depending on where you are and what programming the tennants want) connected to 4 cascaded DPP44 switches?

That will give you 16 receiver connections.

Anybody else?

THat might be the idea....how many total wires from dish? 3?

THose coudl be run down to a mech room and then put all the dp44's there...

One cable to each apartment should do it right? you can use the splitter to get dual tuners?

Yes, one cable from each LNB to the DP44's in mech room, but you must run one cable for each receiver (2 cables) to each apartment, you cannot "split" satellite feeds.

The back of dual tuner receivers will have a "seperator", not a splitter, to unstack the two satellite bands diplexed on that one wire.

Single tuner receivers just connect directly to the feed from the DP44.

If you're putting the capability for two receivers in each apartment you must use two wires to each apartment.

If anyone needs International programming, you can add a Dish 500+ and feed the 118.75 feed directly to the DPP44 just like the feeds from the D1000.2/.4. As a matter of fact if you already have international subs, just use a D1000+ and have all 4 feeds from one dish (4 cables to DPP44).
