Have you tried unplugging the unit for a couple of seconds?

Call Tech support, you need a new receiver.

A replacement receiver as they usually use refurbished receivers to replace non-functional ones.

Sorry, I meant "New to the OP", not that Dish would replace the receiver with a new one.

Hey, if the refurb works and the one he has doesn't, isn't that a win?

My first 622 lasted about 2 years before the HDD cratered, and the refurb 622 was still working fine when I DIU'd it for a 722k.

Does a newly 'leased' receiver have to be new?
Whether it does or not likely has little to do with how long it will last.

Dish provides you with a working receiver, new or refurb, that is all that matters.

A new receiver may fail before a refurb would or vice versa, both may run "forever".

I could not agree more.

How true...I'm on my 3rd 622 which has worked flawlessly for over a year and a half. Of course the previous ones failed within 6 months of use. I have several others as well that have been great without needing replacement.

My 622 has started doing the same thing.
Is there a way to recover my programs and movies from the 622 while it is in this condition?
