Thinking of Buying a Sony HDTV

I'm thinking of buying the Sony 55WF655, but I see they are really pushing the new 3LCD series. Does anyone know the "real" differences between the two? Preferences?

Thank you...

I am not sure if this helps, but I have had a KDF-55XS955 for the past week that I LOVE!

i have the same set for 4 months now PQ is excellent, if you are intrested in LCOS i would suggest that you take a look at JVC HDILA sets, this is LCOS technology similar a SONY SXRD but a lot cheaper, I have seen it one closely at BB, It looks very good, if u buy JVC make sure it is made recently. JVC had some issues with dead pixel in production last year, make sure the return policy of store is good.
the 52 inch set at BB was $2400,SONY 55" was $3000.00

good luck

I have a KDF55WF655-- maybe I'm wrong, but it seems this TV has the 3LCD system.. I got this from the specs from this TV. I love the PQ (once it got callibrated)and when used in conjunction with HD, can't beat it..IMO

As Sony's 3-chip LCD technology dedicates an LCD chip to each of the three primary colours (red, green and blue), concern over colour separation, flicker, ghosting and convergence is eliminated.

All the KDF models are, and have been, 3 LCD models... Sony's just got a new buzzword to hype...

It's a nice display. Sony is just releasing a newer series with a dynamic iris to improve black levels. Being a newer model it's bound to cost more or the same, with fewer features. But might be worth checking out anyway, and see how you like the picture quality.
