Panasonic or Not!?

Having trouble deciding on purchase of 32" HD Ready Panasonic Model CT-32H15. It has a nice look to it-silver with a black border. All the specs seem great, but it didn't (picture) look that great at Circuit City this AM. It was not hooked up tp the Component inputs for TV Though. It's on sale for $764.99 with a rebate for shipping. Bottom line: does anyone have this TV or have any recommendation. Thanks

It is a CT-32HL15 and is 4:3. My recommendation would be to get a widescreen not a 4:3. As stated in previous posts you end up with a lower definition SD picture taking up the whole screen and an HD picture only occupying the middle section. For a similar price I would get a 30" 16:9. More and more programming is in HD.

Puchased the Pany CT-30WX15 after taking back 2 Sony's for loss of contrast. The panasonic is pristine! Really nice HD picture and a nice cabinet (silver with black border-wife likes the looks). It even has a feature called IMAGE SHIFT to help prevent burn-in. Since I have DISH Satellite which expands the 4.3 on non HD programs I will never have to look at any black bars! The TV itself has an expand mode called "JUST" which stretches onle the sides which I use when playing some recorded VCR Tapes. Excellent TV!

Congrats... I'm sure you will find it great for DVDs too - don't forget to set your DVD player to 16:9 so that anamorphic (Enhanced for Widescreen TVs) DVDs fill the full screen width. Component cables will probably look just as good as HDMI.

Don't get a narrowscreen, all HDTV is 16:9.
