LG 42LH55 - 240 Hz TV. Can't find any reviews

Hi Folks,

I am finally thinking of buying an LCD TV (still have the old Sony box, believe it or not). I was searching through 42" models and see that LG recently came out with this seemingly amazing model LG42LH55 that has 240 Hz TrueMotion feature (where even the most advanced LCD TVs only offer 120Hz) and Dynamic Contrast Ratio of 80,000:1 for a price of around 1.5K. I bet even this price will come down in the next few weeks.

Yet, I cannot find a single customer or professional review of this TV. Any thoughts about the LG models, their reliability and the features of this TV set in particular?

Thanks

IMO, anything above 60Hz is a waste of money unless you're getting a plasma. But don't tell my customers I said that or we won't be able to use the Hz as a selling point.

the last 60Hz LCD tv I saw had such bad motion blur is was almost impossible to watch sports or action scenes
120Hz smooths things out but at a cost

You're right. There are many 60Hz televisions that don't have good motion but then there are some that do. Most of the newer models from the major brands are pretty good.
