i went to check out the costco site to cite a price for another thread here, and i noticed that there aren't any vizios listed (or a link for their items) in the tv section. did i miss something?

This just my opinion but I think Costco buys in lots. Once the lot is gone it's gone (unless they buy another lot). The reason I think this way is because (mainly electronics and computers) Costco would get something new in. The price was great. As time went on the price would drop to the same level (if not lower than) as Costco while Costco wouldn't change the price. All of a sudden either the price would drop by a big jump, it would be gone for a few days then come back with a lower price, or would never come back.

Also lately a number of the HDTVs they have are not the lastest models, they have a Pioneer PDP, a couple of the last get Pannys, etc. Two of the four Panny Plasmas are last gen models.

I was just at a Costco in Tempe Az today, and they had a lot of Vizio's on display! Interestingly enough I listened in to a Costco employee telling a potential customer that the Vizio's were good but for a few dollars more................

Costco's website and BJ's seems to do this as well, will take items off if current inventory is low or sold out until another batch, as the above poster mentioned, comes in. This is done so they don't get stuck with orders that can't fill.

Always go to your nearest Costco and check them out. Indvidual store items aren't always reflected on their parent website.
