randys1 I had the same problem. I had the phone company out and he put a master filter or something and I don't even have to have filters on each phone jack! If you have dsl, that is what causing the problem. gotta remember that internet and phone are coming in on the same line from the pole.

If you have a HDDVR- Go to the top movie tab under my playlist and all the 1080P PPV movies are laready downloaded to your DVR. No phone line needed.

I also have AT&T internet, and my filter is installed in the box outside of the house.

That's interestiong. I have Qwest DSL and the installer brought individual filters for each connection. He told me that only 4 filters were recommended for a installation, but he gave me an extra pack of 4 and I think I have 6 installed in the house and that number doesn't seem to affect my DSL service. I'm on a triple play bundle package, but will probably go back to cable for my internet service when my commitment is finished.

I've never heard anything about a master DSL filter being installed outside.

Sounds like someone fed someone a good BS story.

Its actually the simplest way to fiter EVERY phone in the house with one (1) filter.
You just run a seperate set of twisted pair to the DSL Modem. Those pick up the DSL RF CARRIER at the POE box. You tap PRE filter, and the house is POST filter.
Took about 10 minutes to accomplish this minor setup.
