Hello,

We have a RCA 52" projestion that is approx 9 or 10 years old. For the second time the power supply has gone out. We are currently deciding if we should repair ($300-$400) or replace it.
We are currenty looking at the RCA HD52W58 does anyone have any feedback on this tv or suggestions for other models. We are not
stuck on RCA.
Also, wasn't there something about the FCC requiring all signals to be in HD by a certain time period? If so when?

Thank you in advance for any help you can provide.

FCC is not mandating that all signals be in HD. The switch will be from analog to digital.

Correct...

The broadcasters will still be allowed to transmit standard definition programming, only in a digital format. Set top boxes will allow non HDTV's to display this content.

Since you are a projection television fan, might I suggest an LCD or DLP projection television, rather than a CRT based set?

Hang out on the forums for a while, you will learn alot here!
