My only consolation is that both seasons will get released on Blu-ray, so we can have and own and cherish it in HD. I was afraid they might skip the Blu release of S02 after they cancelled the show.

Does anyone know if they will be airing the remaining episodes?

ABC was contracted to air the episodes. Three episodes have never aired and plans were to air them all on one night on a Sunday this summer.

Really looking forward to picking this second "half" season up.

I stopped watching it after season 1, I thought it was over.

Yeah I would be interested in getting season 1 and 2 on blu, since then it will be a complete set. I missed a lot of the first season, and pretty much all of the second season.

But what I did see I really liked. I think the shows colors and intricate set will look great in HD. Even though the audio is DD 5.1.

Cheapest used season 1 set on Amazon seems to be about $20 with shipping. If I can get both seasons for $35-45 I would be happy.

I have season one. While there are some really breathtaking scenes, there also many rather lackluster parts. Especially the more dimly lit scenes are suffering a bit with their level of detail and do look a bit crudely shot. I suspect that is how the show was actually produced, the HD broadcasts i've seen looked rather similar. So it's not all just eye-candy.

The audio is indeed a bit disappointing. While the show is of course extremely dialoge driven, and boy i needed those subtiltles, they are speaking so fast, most of the time i only get half of what they're saying  the music score is great. But imo for some reason it suffered on the BD. Again it might have been produced that way, not getting into the lossy/lossless argument here, but the audio was very dvd'ish and compressed, lacking dynamics.

Yet, the male and female leads do talk fasts at times.

Well, even if there is a little to be desired I would still like to own the entire series in HD. There is enough cool stuff in it for me, even with lackluster HD quality. If they have some sweet deals when Season 2 comes out that might persuade me.

I can't imagine season 1 on blu sells many copies, so hopefully, they will be looking to bundle them up to move copies of each.

Did they cancel Life on Mars? I thought that it was meant to be a short run like the BBC version.

they did'nt pick it up for a 2nd year.this was done end off feb,and that gave LOM a chance to end it on thier own, unlike other shows that just get cancelled.
