Do you think this is a good system for $300. I want to buy this system for my family room dimension 20' X 16' with cathedral ceiling.

I would really appreciate if somebody could help me on this. My friend is moving out of country and willing to sell Energy Take Classic 5.1 for $300. Because he is on west coast, it would be hard to return this thing if I am not satisfied. Also, somebody in this forum mentioned 20 X 15 is too big a room for this system. Can somebody who has this system help me out.

Thanks in advance

I'm not too familiar with that system but maybe this will help in comparison. I just purchased this Energy surround system (http://www.wwstereo.com/#/ecommerce/store/Speakers/33/144560//) for $500. You might want to research their official page (http://www.energy-speakers.com/na-en/products/take-classic-5-1-overview/) as well.

Good luck!!

Wow.. that seems to be a great system. Just called them up, but they are closed. Will have to wait till monday to talk to them. Do they deliver in MA and where can I audition this system?

If you're talking about the company I bought them from, I know they ship anywhere in the US for free, they are fully backed by manufacturer warranty in all they sell, and I received everything in perfect condition. As far as demo'ing the system, call around to your local hi-fi stores and maybe they will have it (or another Energy system that is very close). I know some internet companies offer free 30-day in-home trials. That would be the ultimate. I don't think these guys offer that however. But I (and many others on this forum) can attest to the fact that these are EXCELLENT speakers for the price!!!

You would be hard pressed to find a better set for $300

It should fill the room depending on how critical you are.

If size isn't an issue, the other Energy set linked will do a lot better.
