I currently have a sony 60" xbr1. It does 1080p, has been working great and has no problems. I've been wanting to get a new tv since I found out that the sony only does 1080i and not p like advertised.

Anyways, I'm looking at buying a pioneer elite 60". What do you guys think, should I get it or is there going to be something else coming out to wait for.

Thanks

The display on your set is 1080p.

I suspect that it is limited to 1080i input.
But, so what, if the deinterlacer works properly that is not a a problem and you would gain little or nothing by going to a new set.

This is true, it only accepts a 1080i input. The other thing is won't the color be better at 1080p especially with the pioneer? The last thing is I can't put the sony on the wall (21" thick).

Would there be something else to recommend?

Thanks for the reply
