Some HD Channels missing from the guide on HR20-100

I have an HR20-100 that until yesterday was hooked up to an SD television. After buying a HDTV I hooked it up with 2 B-Band converters and component cables. HD channels from 70-80 show up on the guide and look great, however none of the HD locals or other channels (NFL, discovery, history, etc...) are listed on the guide. I spent a hour on the phone with tech support yesterday and we tried everything from restarting to resending the primary signal, resending authorization to the receiver and changing out the B-Band converters with no luck. I have 2 other HD receivers in my house both receiving all channels with no problem. I am convinced it must be a problem with the box itself but Directv insists on sending out a technician vs. replacing the box under my service plan. Anyone have this problem or know of any potential solutions?

Did they have you do a complete Sofware download

Red button reset-When the Screen says hello: from the remote 0,2,4,6,8.

Something to try while your waiting, if you haven't already done it.

they never mentioned that, so I tried it. Still no luck. I also tried running guided setup again and although it did not work, on the very first screen of that process there was a warning message at the bottom of the screen "Do not install B-Band converters" I wonder why that came up? It is an HD capable receiver, I have the HD service and the correct dish. Just further reinforces my belief that there is a problem with the receiver itself

Such a simple answer, I can't believe they didn't check this as part of the tech support troubleshooting!

The B-band converter message I referenced in the prior post got me thinking, is the receiver set up to receive all the HD channels? A quick comparison to my other HR-20 revealed that this receiver was set up with the 3lnb dish setting. I changed it to "Slimline 5" which is how my other receiver is set up. Now I did get a message telling me there were some errors during set up but I went ahead with it anyway and so far so good!

It' good you had something to "stare and compare with" :)
