What can be the problem

I have 2 new HDTV's both less than 1 yr old. The same with the DTV HD receivers. also have an old tv with the regular receiver, now the problem. Periodically ( at least daily) when we cut the tv on there is no picture but sound, cut the receiver off and back on and we have sound. I run into the bedroom the same problem on the other tv. so tried the old tv and it came on fine.
Since both HD TV's are doing this I ruled out the tv, it must be the signal for HD since the old tv works. Is this possible? Also this is on Local channels and seems to happen on CBS more than others. Thought I would ask before spending the day with DTV. We are in Florence SC

Are you using HDMI Cables on both sets? How are you connected if not?

BY reciever Do you mean D*TV (MODEL?) box or Stero Amp?

I have not seen what you have described here. But, I don't watch too much local programing. So I just tried turning on CBS on 2 different H20-100 units. Again I didn't see a problem.

There however have been problems with both Fox and CBS since the HD launch. They seem to take turns being screwed up with very bad audio sync issues. As I said, I don't watch much of either with the exception of football season. Each Sunday I would cross my fingers and hope for the best.

Maybe you should try a red button reset and see if that helps. As I'm not sure you are complaing about the problem I described anyway.
