Yesterday afternoon DTV HD Tech Support and DTV Customer Support Management stated that an H10 software upgrade is due out by the end of June. This upgrade will address all known H10 issues.

We'll see.................

 Yes......we'll see, indeed! Just last week (June 1st) one of the guys in HD support told me that there was no software upgrade for the H10 and there isn't any planned. He even put me on hold for a while so he could check. In fact, they sent me a replacement H10 receiver (which has the same HDMI glitches as the original). Why would they go to the expense to do that if a software upgrade was really in the works?

I love DTV, but their techs are mainly morons.

All they do is read from kbases. One guy, when I had problems with my HD set up, suggested I re-wire my entire house because he thought I had a faulty cable (cable goes to 5 rooms and was installed 6 years ago and always worked fine).

Another guy told me my LNB was bad and to buy a new dish. Then finally, a girl told me that I just couldn't get HD in my area.

What was actually wrong? I had the multiswitch connected wrong (because I did what they told me to do... they advised me to connect it incorrectly). I figured it out myself.

They also, btw, told me I could not run a direct cable from my dish to my HD set and still use my old 3x4 TERK. Ugh... wrong. They don't have any idea over there.
