Newby to HDTV

Recently moved from Houston to Woodlands area. We've always used rabbit ears/outside antennas in Houston. We have C2 Clear Stream 2 Long Range HDTV antenna in Woodlands [@ 37 miles North of Houston]. We have one HDTV + 2 old TVs with converter boxes. We get great reception with this antenna, but it occassionally "freezes" for few seconds. The "freezing" happens most often on the larger screen HDTV which is located the fartherst distance from the connection of antenna/ourdoor connection box. Any suggestions?
We're not big-time TV watchers, so did not want cable or sattalite & their monthly fees. I'm enjoying learning HDTV reading forum posts. Thanks, grandma

You may want tio posts this in the Local HDTV Reception area. You will get more and better information that way. The freezing and pixelation you are seeing is from poor singnal and it bouncing/dropping out. Since it only appears to be happening to the 1 TV furthest from the source, I would check the connections and coax quality to see if it need to be replaced. Perhaps a good preamp would also help in this case as well.

yeah there's not much you can really do but troubleshoot hardware.

no one to call so that's that.

It sounds like the signals reaching the TV's is a little weak. How are you splitting the signal from your C2 to feed the 3 TV's? A 3-way splitter? A 4-way splitter with one output not being used?

How is the reception on analogue channels? Good or snowy?
