PSB Speakers

A month ago I purchased a Denon 2309 receiver to replace my earlier Sony AV receiver that was purchased in 2000. I have a 'set' of JBL speakers but I've noticed with the new receiver that one of the speakers is not working. The JBL's were a package purchased at the same time as the Sony unit. I know I can do better.

I have a couple of questions. Is there anyway to replace one speaker in a matched set? If not, what suggestions do you have for a good use for the remaining 4 speakers and subwoofer. I think that they would be called 'satellites' as they are small in size (i.e. roughly 4-5" high, metal enclosures).

Also, what suggestions on new speakers. I've been looking at the PSB C40 for centre, B25 for fronts and rears, and Sub Series 1. Another set I'm looking at is the Definitive Technology’s Pro Cinema 600. I'm familiar with B&W but I don't think that they have a set that would fit my budget (roughly $1000 Cdn. or $700-800 US)

The room is a small room, approximately 12-14' by 12-14'. I've got an HP LC3760N that is 2 years old. I've currently got an Apple TV and I'm on HD Cable.

I'm going to be adding a Panasonic DMPBD35.
