My blu-ray player has the ability to output YbBpR (standard) as well as RGB over HDMI and my TV has "wide color". Which is better?

YbBpR is the video standard with a range of 16-235 shades, and RGB is the computer standard with a range of 0-255.

When you use the computer RGB setting you lose Blacker than Balck & Whiter than White being displayed. You should use the video standard YbBpR IMO for anything other than a computer monitor IMO.
