Hello all,

This is my first post here and well of coarse like every other noob out there am here to ask a question or 20.

I just bought a Samsung LN46A550 it is a pretty tv but i am having a delima. I have a set of mint Z5300-e i would like to use as my surround sound. I would like to know what is my best option for this.

The tv has PC VGA input (no idea what this is either wish i did) i dont know if i can somehow connect it through that but it looks like a monitor vga plug to me and my speakers have a 3 connector mini stereo plug for the 5.1 (the plugs that look like headphone ends).
And if there is a way to connect it can i have it so that my tv controls the volume going to these speakers?

If anyone could give me some advice it would be much appreciated.

The PC VGA is a connection to hook up your computer and use your TV as a monitor.

I think I have that same Logitech 5.1 setup that I bought a couple of years ago for my PC...

I never hooked up all the speakers, and i still have it on my PC with just the sub-woofer and the two satelite speakers for right & left~

However, I am going to use it for my video setup eventually, and i bought a 50' digital audio fiber optic cable to use for that purpose.

I have confirmed that it works from my PS3 to the Logitech digital audio input, but I have not confirmed that it will work from the 622 DVR I have.

Maybe someone else can provide some input on that~
