Orb Peoples Choice Review

So I just got my people's choice orb audio package in. I also upgraded to the Uber 10 sub. I was replacing a Klipsch Sub 12 and I quintet series surrounds with an upgraded C-2 center channel. I was worried to say the least about buying these speakers sight unseen. Let me just say this.....my music has never sounded better! The Uber 10 sub outdoes the Sub 12 in so many ways that I can't even say. The Uber 10 produces super tight, clean, crisp lows, with no distortion whatsoever. I was told to run the speakers and let them break in to get a better soundstage out of them. I can honestly say that after a day of playing all kinds of music through them they keep sounded better and better. They produce a seamless signal with the Uber 10. Sure....they are not huge floorstanding reference speakers, but to anyone trying to decide on these speakers.....go ahead and order them. You will not be disappointed! Great customer service too! I was worried about the fact that they run at a nominal 4 ohms, but my receiver is not running any hotter than before. Great speakers and truly happy with them. Now......have to get back to watching movies!

Glad to hear that you enjoy you new speakers,,,,,but have you ever treated your ears to a set of B&W's?

Oh I know all about B&W. The thing about it was the price. I couldn't afford that much...so for what I paid for this....I coudn't be more happy.

UPDATE.............So I have been running the peoples choice through the works. On a scene in Lord of the Rings and in The Strangers I got the sub to bottom out really bad. I am talking with the volume on the sub set to 45 percent and the receiver up to about 50 percent. It made noises no sub should ever make. I'm pretty sad about it since the sub sounds so good every other time. The fact that it bottomed out so easily though will probably be grounds to send it back.

You might want to check out the REL t-3 sub. A reasonable price for a sub that goes lower than most anything I have heard, especially for one in it's class. Awesome, spectacular, body feeling, deep, true bass.
