<Edit - didn't mean to say bankrupt in title>

Now I know why they filed for Chapter 11. My story;

Buying a car stereo for my son's car. Basically since I can't or won't install it myself - smarter for me to purchase from CC or BB and pay them to do it. In my case - CC was offering free indash installation and overall bottom line was gonna be quite a bit cheaper with CC than BB. Ordered all online. All items including adapters, Firedog for speakers etc would come from my local CC store. Good enough. Unfortunately, the indash I wanted they didn't have in stock. Next choice per their website was another CC store which is 2 hours from my house. Bingo - that worked for me cause I was actually going to that town for business meeting. I'll just pick it up and take to local CC so they can install all. Day of meeting - I get sick so can't get indash. Now I'm in a pickle. I call local CC and ask if they can simply have the indash shipped to them since they'll be installing it anyway. I go through 3 or 4 people on the phone. Finally they tell me they just can't do that. I tell them that how odd cause they have free shipping anyway for that item (had I known I was gonna get sick - I would have chosen that option). Nope - they just can't do that. The only option is for me to drive 2 hours to pick it up in person and then drive it to them....or cancel the transaction and reorder it through my local store (even though they don't have it in stock and I'd not be assured that they could get one in time for Christmas)

Oh my god! How pathetic is that??? They SHOULD go out of business if that is how clumsy they are!!

Hopefully they get their act together and soon. Closure would mean one less store to choose from. They are clumsy thats for sure.:banghead:

Sounds like the ones I talked to when I was looking for new monitor. Brain dead is a understatement. I would think all the good people have already jumped ship..

Actually they fired them all. They were making too much money.
