So, First post and it's a question :hithere:

I like the LN46A950 (Samsung) and was thinking of buying it for $2500 new shipped to my door. I just wanted to post and see if there was a better HDTV on the market. Plasma or LCD? I know, Loaded Question. My TV is used 16 to 18 hours a day every day. I want the best quality set for my money, so post what TV you would buy for $2500ish.

Thanks,
Shawn

That's what I thought, but searching this site makes me think differently.

The Samsung is an excellent choice. I do like the 120hz and the LED backlighting. The TV also has some on screen features. However, it depends what you are going to use it the tv for during the day. There are similar TVs out there without some of the bells and whistles for less money.

Why is that?

1080P Plasma with Anti Glare?

I'm going to look at different ones today.

I still like the LN46A950 2,000,000:1 Contrast? That's like a lot

Ok, for a grand less, I get 4 more inches and its a Plasma, SAMSUNG PN50A650 to be exact.

What do you think? Should I pull the trigger?

Just bought the PN50A650 Plasma from Samsung. $1552 shipped to my door from Abe's of Maine and it came with a free wall mount and shipping. This is my first HDTV, so hopefully it will be a good one.

Total including 5 year "In Home" service warranty with Samsung, "Free" 12 foot Monster HDMI cable, "Free" wall mount and upgraded shipping is $2070.

I think you will be very pleased with that Samsung plasma.
