questions regarding Sharp and cables

hello all. I am sorry, but this is going to be a long winded question. I am attempting to purchase a 37 inch LCD TV to go into a cabinet with a 36 inch opening and pocket slide back doors. All that I have found so far that will fit is a Toshiba Regza and 2 Sharp Aquos models.

I had to dismiss the Regza because the controls are on the right side of the cabinet.

The 2 Sharp Aquos models are the LC37D64U 1080P and the LC37D44U 720P. Bothe measure slightly under or slightly over 35.5 inches wide.

I physically saw both units today, and the D64U is a nicer looking unit, feels more solid, and is quite a bit heavier on the spec sheet

The only issue I see with this is that one set of input connectors is on the side and I dont have the clearance to have the cables sticking out beyond the edge of the bezel.

The D44U wins on the point that all of the inputs are in the rear, but the unit as a whole feels more flimsy.

So here are my questions.

1) is there a source for right angle cables that would allow me to use the side inputs on the D64U without protrusion beyond the side of the cabinet?

2) is 1080P in a 37 inch a real consideration and should an extra 150.00 be spent to get it?

3)I have heard that sharp lcd TV's suffer from Banding? I dont know what that is, but I have heard the term. Can someone explain?

4) I have also seen standard sharp models (non aquos) in stores like wal-mart for around 700. The picture looks good and the specs look similar. Are they worth considering?

Thanks very much in advance for any help you can provide.

If they are anywhere i would think www.monoprice.com would have them.

Check them out and see if they have what you are looking for. If you don't see it, call them.

Hope this helps!

On the Regza, the side cable panel is for additional inputs. The main panel is still on the rear of the TV.

I imagine that the Sharp is the same way.

The side inputs are extra inputs on the regza, they are put there mainly for gamers the inputs in the back of the panel are quite unobtrusive.
