I'm moving to the Sydney-area and am wondering if Directv, Dish network etc are available over there. Anybody here a user? That digital Foxtel thing isn't HD... is HD only broadcast aerially over there?

Even at 22,500 miles up, I thought they would be over the horizon for you... most western one is at 119 longitude... Highly unlikely as Australia is on the other side of the planet (or I should say opposite side) and the sats are in geo synchronous orbit. evilhead 05-16-2005, 05:24 PM Ah. Well then. That's two scoops of poop. I should clarify that I don't really care what network it is, just one similar, like an AUS equivalent is fine... can't fine one though, I don't think they have one. :banghead: MrDeamon 05-17-2005, 09:19 AM I do not believe Directtv and/or Dish down under. Here is a ling to a satillites that you should be able to recieve with a dish. As to what size dish I have no idea. You will have to search this list yourself to see what type of programing you will beable to recieve. http://www.lyngsat.com/packages/asia.html MrDeamon 05-17-2005, 09:31 AM Here's another link for you to a forum for down under HDTV http://www.dtvforum.info/ |
