Loss of satellite signal on VIP 722

I had a Dish Network VIP 722 installed on July 21. Since that time, I lose about half of my HD channels due to loss of satellite signal error. I called tech support and did the check switch procedure and also did the reset procedure with the power button. Those procedures usally brings back most of the channels, but just a few hours later I have the same problem again. I called DN about this and they said they would send a technician but charge me $28 for the service call. When I protested, they waived the charge. The appointment with the technician will be in about a week. So what do I need to do to alleviate this problem? I had an 811 before that got very few channels but at least it always brought in the signal. It is very frustrating to pay for all these HD channels and not have access to them. Can anyone help? Your Dish needs to be realigned. Not too much you can do unless you have the equipment and skills necessary to realign the Dish yourself.
