Sequels that need to be made NOW!!!!

just a few games that deserve a sequel

Uncharted 2: Make this game NOW!!!, the first game is lots of fun with top notch gameplay and graphics (especially the graphics) a sequel is a no brainer.

Call Of Duty Modern Warfare 2: i know, i know there is a call of duty 5 coming out but the setting has gone back to WWII, im proposing they do what ea did with need for speed hot pursuit II, make a sequel of a sequel. Speaking about need for speed......

Need For Speed Hot Pursuit 3: Take the series back to what it did best. Exotic cars racing point to point in lush environments with intense police chases. Forget about the underground/carbon/most wanted/pro street garbage

Metal Gear Solid 5: After creating the masterpiece that is MGS4 Kojima cant stop there. Either make a new game with Raiden as the main character or make another prequel (metal gear and metal gear 2 perhaps) whatever he comes up with I dont care, I just want more tactical espionage action.

Jak & Daxter 4: the original trilogy of jak & daxter games were some of the funnest games on the ps2. Top notch gameplay & graphics. Unfortunately this generation of consoles severely lack good platformers with ratchet & clank being the only worthwile one out there.

ICO 2: One of the earliest games for the ps2 but one of the best, it introduces a style of game never before seen, and a style we havnt seen since.

Shadow Of The Colossus 2: The first game on ps2 can be summed up as a game of boss battle after boss battle. Another way of describing it is OMG THIS GAME IS EPIC, excellent stylish graphics, amazing gameplay and some of the most impressive and intimidating battles ever before seen in a video game.

I'm for a proper COD4 expansion set in modern times too. I've had my share of WWII shooters.

MGS5 can't come soon enough. I'd love to see some downloadable single player content like flashback missions of something. I'd pay for that.

Half Life 3

Tired of waiting for damn Ep3 so just build me a whole new engine and give me a whole new story act. Just put the story ya got written up for Ep3 in the first couple hrs of HL3.

Proper Rainbow 6 Vegas sequel

The only Ubi released was just an expansion pack to the first vegas. Give me 60fps on the console versions and some real bullet penetration.

ICO/Shadow of Coll

Same thing essentially. Can't wait to see what this dev brings to the PS3

Uncharted 2

No bullet sponge wife-beater clad militia men this time. If you want the enemies to be bullet sponges, give them some armor for immersiveness at least. Oh yea, no zombies this time either.

RalliSport Challenge

Come on DICE, I know you like making BF games for EA, but RSC is my second favorite racing franchise on consoles.

Tony Hawk

Find a way to bring back the magic Neversoft. skate didn't do it for me. They need a killer app to get my Tony fix back. That was a good run on 1-3. I keep Project 8 around because it's the most the refined version of that formula. WTF was proving ground?

Zelda

I want an HD Zelda damn it. TP was great, but I want the full whack. Intense physics engine, bump mapping, real time shadows, the works. That would be killer.

SWAT5

Swat4 was a vastly underrated shooter, which had been marketed/hyped more and put on consoles would have sold like gangbusters.

Proper Tenchu Sequel

See Zelda requirements, and stealth and Ninja shit.

Proper Siphon Filter

See the PSP games for prime examples, only on PS3 with next gen bells and whistles.

*Gearbox better make good on this Aliens FPS. It's my 'wet dream' game, and they'd better take time and not fuck it up. I'll send them a nasty letter if they do.:p

Also,

Someone please give me the next gen that was sold to me before the current batch of systems was released. So far I'm not feeling the 'next gen' vibe I was sold. Maybe I was expecting too much.

I'd give some 360 exclusive titles notes here, but then I'd be lamented for not loving the sequels that were provided. Halo 3, NG2 I'm looking at you. The vids of Fable 2 aren't winning me over like they should either, again, that's a game I think I expected too much out of. They sold the first one pretty hard, and while it was very good, it was not what they were talking about in the marketing of it. Splinter Cell 5 got the indefinite delay, Ironsides isn't doing the voice for Fischer because he doesn't like the project, I hope they pull this one out.

now the big one...

Castlevania

Side scrolling psudeo 3D graphically like the PSP one, but full of meat and greatness like symphony of the night. No, I don't need any fully 3D parts just for the sake of 'next gen'. Just a graphically breathtaking, sonic-ly awesome rip off of SotN will do just fine. Make it twice as long and use the same formula and Konami can have another $60 piece from me. Throw in A-1 animation and 60+ frames per second and I'd even pay $70 for such a game. Are you listening Konami? I know you want my money, come and get it. I told ya how. It's that easy. Wouldn't even cost a great deal to make.

oh yeah. Make sure GoW3 doesn't suck. That would be a shame. I hope we get a peak at E3. RE5 better show me something besides new graphics at E3 as well. As happy as I'd be to plunk down $60 for an HD expansion pack of RE4, I'd love some new killer mechanic. Holes in the bullet sprayed T-shirts too. That part in the gameplay video just appalled me when Chris sprayed the crazy possesed kid in the white T and there wasn't a hole or a blood stain to be seen. This is supposed to be next gen people. Get to coding.

You dug your own hole kam, don't make us all out to be the "bad guys". Maybe if you didn't rag on anything and everything that comes out of the 360 you wouldn't have such a bad rep. It has become increasingly clear that you are just a fanboy for Sony. Nothing serious, just don't expect us to take you serious on matters concerned with the Xbox 360.

As for my personal choices:

New Zelda - TP was great, but I beat that game ages ago! I want a fully realized sequel built from th ground up for the Wii. Nintendo has come a long ways with their motion tech and now I want to see what they can really do with it in Zelda.

New DS Sonic - Sonic Unleashed looks very promising, so I am kind of holding out for that one, however, I think the DS could really revive this fallen icon as an awesome 2D side scrolling adventure with stylus controls. This isn't really a sequel for a specific game per say, but rather a franchise.

Final Fantasy Tactics 2 - Let me be clear I am in no way talking about the GBA/DS versions. I don't like those ones at all. The game I am referring to is the PS1 classic. The gameplay, storyline, and graphics were all awesome for its time. Now, I want a full sequel to the project that ended in somewhat of a cliffhanger.

Blue Dragon 2 - Sure, the graphics looks kiddish, but once you got past em there was actually a surprisingly deep storyline enhanced by a fresh take on the traditional JRPG scheme. Needless to say I loved Blue Dragon so please give me a sequel.

Folklore 2 - Holy crap was this the best mystery game I have ever played since Gabriel Knight. While the combat could use a bit of sprucing up to make it more lively this game is one of those gems that will be remembered years down the road when others such as Halo are forgotten. Please give me a sequel... Best PS3 game to date! :D

Final Fantasy VII 2 - Yes I know this is a pipe dream, but the original was so damn good! Now I am tired of spin offs and movie adventures, give me a fully realized sequel! While not the best Final Fantasy game it certainly is one of the most memorable and therefor has the highest chance for a sequel. Please give it to us!

There are just so many more games I desperately want sequels to, such as:

Parasite Eve
Vagrant Story
Super Mario
Mario RPG
Kirby
Overlord
Oblivion
Zack McKraken
Chrono Trigger

Just to name a few. :o Unfortunately, most of these won't ever come to fruition. Regardless, though, I do feel lucky that there are many sequels that would have wound up on my list had they not already been announced this pat year. :D

I agree with just about every game listed.

A special kudos to Hot Pursuit 3, as Hot Pursuit 2 was probably the last NFS game I really enjoyed.

I'd take a Front Mission sequel too. The GBA version was enough to satisfy my need for SRPG+Robots, but I want the sequel to FM4, and this time - make the effin story worth a damn like FM3.

Jet Set Radio 2 (that shite that was Future, never happened IMO :p)

I agree 100% on a Rallisport 3. Rallisport 2 was the closest anyone ever came to matching Sega Rally (Saturn ver) handling which is still yet to be beaten more than a decade on.

I'd disagree over Zelda, as I don't think the franchise needs anything like that, I preferred Wind Waker on the visual front though. No one has ever done such fantastic Cel Shading, and I doubt anyone ever will now.

As for CastleVania, I was a new one too, I don't want polygons in it though (but these days it's goin to have to happen) ah man, High Definition hand drawn 2D sprites and backgrounds. THAT is what it needs :D lush.

Dead Rising 2.

With online co-op! GOTY! tbh :D I'm hoping that the "top secret" game being developed by Capcom in the west is Dead Rising 2 actually.

Btw kamspy, on the Rallisport front, I've spent the day playing Sega Rally on the 360, it's actually very very good and definitely a worthy tide over til something like Rallisport 3 happens. Takes about 30 mins to get used to it (ignore the demo, thats just pants) but once you're into the swing of it, it's classic arcade rallying :)

GAME OVER YEEEEAH!

Demo sucked on the PS3, for sure :D

It sucked on both, completely put me off the game. Then I started finding the game had quite a lot of fans who were saying it was this and that, so I decided as it's cheap now (2 for 20 in the UK at GameStation) I'd give it a try, and what would you know? I've spent the whole weekend playing it, now I've got to grips with the handling, I think it's actually one of, if not the best racer on the 360.

And the graphics, are just absolutely sublime. They rival GT5:P, the only real difference is that GT5 is 60fps, and this is 30fps, but theres a lot more scenery, and the courses are destructible so that's to be expected.

They could still make a Rally game though. EA don't have a Rally title in their lineup so it would actually be plugging a gap in their product portfolio too.

Really? I didn't even know they made a sequel. The original was alot of fun, though. Sick, twisted fun. :o IIRC, it was about 10 CD's long. It's one of the few real games on PC I actually played all the way through. I'd love to see a new installment for PS3/360/PC as long as they can do it right and stay true to the original.

Hmm...

A sequel that's true to the original Contra's gameplay.

Resistance 2 (PS3 only)
Uncharted 2 (PS3 only)
Heavenly Sword 2 (PS3 only)
God of War 3 (PS3 only)

A "Next-Gen" Madden game to top PS2's Madden 2007.

And I like the true Hot Pursuit and Syphon Filter (for PS3 only) idea's.

They could but EA keeps them too busy working on fixes updates and maps etc for Battlefield.

It might not be "Next-Gen" but pick up Contra 4 for the Nintendo DS. That is definately a Contra sequel, it is full of Contra1/2/3 nostalgia!

Speaking of which, I saw it at Target today for $20 bucks. Good price for a good game.
