On Dish Networks website it says 40gb to 750gb. I found a good price on a I TB external hard drive. Why is it capped at 750gb? Can I get away with 1 TB?

There's a thread on this at DBS Talk. Some people have used 1TB Western Digital externals with success.

Man, that's what I want!!! An ETERNAL hard drive. Just think, it will last forever!!!! Do you think the folks that make this will make an eternal HDTV someday-- we can only hope!

OK I'm sorry. I read the title and it struck me funny.

I always say I'd rather be a smarta** than a dumba**. Guess I was wrong on this one. Hooked on phonics did NOT work for me!
