Overlord: Raising Hell opinions

Any thoughts on this upcoming PS3 port/upgrade?

I know the original 360 version was plagued with problems and bugs, but by all accounts they seem to have been remedied for this version. Plus, throw in the expansion pack and it seems like a really worthwhile purchase, even at $60.

I thought it was boring. Just played the demo, but by my logic, they should be putting their best foot forward with the demo. And it was boring.

I was a little confused with having to hold a button (L1?) down to move the camera, whereas free movement of the right analog stick moved the gremlins. As important as the camera is in a third person game, shouldn't that control scheme be reversed?

I remember thinking it seemed like good idea, but I don't recall enjoying the demo.

I played it for the 360 when it came out about a year or so ago. I enjoyed the game and finished it in about a week (25 hours of play if I remember correctly). Most of the game was good but some was pretty repetitious with the minions and having to find blue ones to do this and green ones to do that. All and all a very good rental if you like these types of games. I rented it from Blockbuster. I would not buy it as once you solve it, you wont want to play it again. At least I don't.

The 360 version was plagued with problems and bugs? News to me. I own the 360 version and it seemed to run perfectly fine.

I'm not sure on the technical status of the PS3 version, but if anybody here is looking for a pseudo-RPG with a grittier take on fantasy, Overlord definitely supplies that. I, for one, really enjoyed it and actually now I am planning on replaying it. :o

I recall several reviews (both editorial and consumer) mentioning the lack of a minimap and more than a few bugs/glitches, some of which would actually crash the game or force you to completely start over. Strangely, not everyone reported experiencing the bugs... only certain people.

But whatever, things appear to cleaned up for this version. Sounds like a good game to waste some time on.
