My sister was'nt too happy that we got rid of Dish Network along with her 722 HD DVR from Dish.
She keep's complaining that our new HR21-700 HD DVR does'nt have the option to record a daily episode of the same show for a week- Monday Through Friday.I told her with this HR721 it give's you an option to record all episode's. the timer let's you record all episode's.

Is there something I'm missing here?Is there an option on this HR21-700 HD DVR that says you can record the same show that's on every day at the same time -Monday through Friday?

Yeah it is just a season pass. Go to the program in the guide and hit select. An info screen should come up adn on the left Nav is a link that says Rec. Series. From there you can set up a Season pass to resord the same show every day that it is on at that time. In the menu for Rec. Series you can set how many episodes to keep at most, if you want to record new episodes, repeats or both and if you want to start the recording early or stop it later.

There is no option that says Season Pass taht I could see.I did press on a future tv shopw on my guide and then I pressed Episodes which tells me when the shows are on for that week.

Go to your guide and find the program you want to record. For instance, go to Monday at 9:00pm on ABC and hit record for The Mole. You should see the R next to the show. Hit Record again and you'll see the R with several circles behind it, meaning you are recording the series. Then hit OK on the listing and you should see "Rec. Once..." and Rec. Series...". Click OK on "Rec. Series..." and you can then select the Episode Type (First Run, Repeat, or Both), how many episodes you want to keep before they get auto-deleted, etc.

Just do the same thing for a daily program (like Attack of the Show on G4TV). Hit Record twice and it will record every episode at that time.

If you do a manual recording(time and channel) there is an option for Mon thru Fri etc. Go to manage recordings and select manual.

On the DIRECTV DVR it's called a SERIES LINK, not a SEASON PASS.
