A brief report from Walmart - why is Sharp Aquos red?

Looked at LCDs in Walmart..

32" Sony and 32" Samsung looked very good, identically so, as an initial impression.

There was one 37" Sharp Aquos there that looked red - the faces were red, definitely a problem with color rendition.

Is this a "feature" or something that can be adjusted?

my reply from your other post:

Go back to the store. Customers probably have changed the setup. You should have played with the adjustments while there or asked for sales assistance. At least set the controls back to factory settings.

Funny, I was in Walmart this week and I wanted to see the LC-32SB24U and the color was all screwed up. I tried to set the controls back to factory using the controls on top of the set and could not. I went into the menu and, but it did not allow any changes. Maybe the TV was set to demo mode or locked or something. I should have asked for assistance.

I believe it is a 2007 model. 2008 models have HDMI 1.3.

Sigh, I am not a Walmart basher. Just understand that this corporation is so large that they dictate quality to their producers. Be very careful what you buy from this giant. It may look the same, but check the model number, usually you will find at least one number off, additionally you will also find in the spec sheet some things that are different. Just be sure what your are buying and be certain that is exactly what you want.
