Apparently someone (dabookerman from neogaf) has already got their hands on Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots and has posted a video of the XMB load screen when the game disc is put into the PS3. There are no spoilers here, so don't worry. The video is short and just gives a quick glimpse at the wallpaper and music provided when the game is running on the PS3.

theres a video if you click the link too, i cant make out his origin either, he sounds like hes from UK or JP with that ascent but i could be wrong. not sure how he got a copy of it because retailers have a strict agreement with konami not to break the street date release as per below link

http://www.psu.com/Konami--Retailers-will-honour-MGS4-street-date-+quot;no-matter-what+quot;-News--a0003887-p0.php

Konami has revealed that it has been working closely with retailers to ensure that the street date of the upcoming Metal Gear Solid 4 is not broken prior to its launch on June 12, confirming that retailers have supplied written agreements ensuring that the date is honoured "no matter what."

Speaking with MCV, Konami’s UK General Manager, Pete Stone, commented: "We pride ourselves on working closely with retailers and have a continuation of the singed agreement system we used so successfully before.”

"All major retailers are supplying written agreements that they will honour the street date no matter what, making it a level playing field across the board. We all want the game to be a huge success, and for everyone to benefit from this release."

Furthermore, Stone revealed that the publisher has taken steps to ensure there is enough stock to meet demand, adding, "With demand for MGS4 at such a high level, I am delighted to confirm that we are continually manufacturing stock to meet the phenomenal demand.”

“We want to make sure that everyone gets a good allocation of what is the key PS3 title of the year.”

Not that hard if you really want one. Get a job at a game store. Steal a copy. Get caught. Pay the $60, go back to your old job.

I thought about it, but decided I could wait.

ONLY 7 MORE DAYS PEOPLE!!!!!!

not that easy. the games don't come in until either the day of or the day prior.

now walmart is the true way to get things early. see walmart doesn't get shipments directly through ups or fedex like gamestop and ebgames does. i have been in the store many times as i watched the games come off the truck and straight onto the shelfs.

but walmart sends everything to a shipping center so most of the time big releases are in the actual store 1-2 weeks ahead of time sine they need to account for the extra shipping time of getting the item from the warehouse to the actual store. have you ever gone to walmart to buy a game or movie only to find out it won't be on the shelf for another day? well that's because they misplaced the stock and don't feel like finding it or the dev didn't get the game shipped quick enough to account for the warehouse delay. in the back of the store they place a sign that states don't open until XX date. those items are usually placed some place on the side so they are not forgotten about, but like i said sometimes they do get forgotten.

or has anyone been in walmart to find a movie, game, or toy out early only to go to pay for it but the cashier tells you they can't sell it? well that's because someone put the stock out early.

i worked in the stock room of a local walmart back in 2000 and have a couple friends who still work for the retail giant. I used to get games, systems, movies, ect way early.

Konami has a UK GM? Doesn't Konami only make like 2 games?

Well, this Paul cat that's been posting MGS4 spoilers everywhere is a real piece of work. What kind of fuckup plays a MGS game from start to finish in one sitting with a laptop in front of him, posting spoilers all over the internet as he goes along? That is the height of dickheaded geekery right there.

But the guy selling them on eBay is smart. If I saw copies in a store I'd buy 'em all up and sell 'em online for a fortune, too.

I would be hard-pressed to believe that EBGames/Gamestop with it's THOUSANDS of locations worldwide doesn't have a distribution center, or multiple centers. You can have a central distribution hub and still use FedEx or UPS as your shipper.

Point in case, Brookstone (stupid gadget store) has a distribution center in Missouri, but they use UPS to do all their shipments. I used to work for them here in Dallas. Right next door was an EBGames. And sometimes they would get games in a week or more ahead of time. And yes, sometimes people would steal them.

Oh and there is the little point I can make that the EB/GS headquarters is about 20 minutes away from where I work. And the building is HUGE! Kind of like a distribution center....

What an ass. I can't stand people who spoil plot twists without giving a warning first. Damn nerds...
