A decent HDMI cable I can get anywhere, for a good price...

I know there isn't much of a difference between the $20 and $100 HDMI cables, so does anyone know the name of a good quality cable I can find at a retail store (Besbuy, Circuit City, etc)? Thanks!

My new TV comes tomorrow so I really want to get a cable now, but don't want to spend the extra money on a cable if I don't have to .

I have found them at Big Lots if you have one in your area. Try Family Dollar as well.

Also try Target, Wal-Mart.
Monoprice.com has great prices, and you can have them ship next-day to you. It might still come out cheaper than retail stores.

I bought mine at Sam's Club.

About $20.

Just make sure the cable is a pro grade, and ideally with metal connectors / ends for durability and quality.

I don't think "Pro Grade" is a technical specification for HDMI. 1.3 would be nice as would durable construction.

I always thought MC and the like were con artists out to pool the wool over innocent peoples heads. Several articles, linked elsewhere on this forum, have shown that there is little benefit to their HDMI cables and none to the speaker cable...WRONG!!!!!

A few weeks ago a friend of mine gave me a 100 foot reel of genuine Monster XP speaker cable which says it has a "Magnetic Flux Tube." Then I wondered, isn't that what the Doc used in Back to the Future? So I laid it on a bookcase next to my computer and after a couple, ok a few straight shots my mind wandered back to the golden age of HiFi and tube equipment with all that glorious sound. Think I was imitating the Stones when I fell asleep. When I awoke the Monster cable was wrapped tightly around my neck, the wife left a note that she saw things more clearly now and decided to leave. Now I can hear the TV without having to listen to her static. And best, I walk around with a warm glow on my face, and the whole world looks better...

WOW THAT STUFF REALLY WORKS!!!

What happens if I actually hook it up to my speakers?
