Where in the manual does it say what it supports

Bought a samsung 1080 lcd model l t4665 and wondering if it supports 1080i and 1080p and where in the manual does it states if so?

That model is a 1080 set. If a TV is not a CRT it is always p. i only exists on CRT sets.

Sometimes you have to look on the website for which input resolutions it will accept. Your model accepts both though.

That is not quite true as some TV's advertise they are 1080i, Hitachi in particular.

Ok true, but a plasma with a non square pixel is pretty rare. Also its not "interlaced", it is still a "progressive" image. It is a 1080i resolution - 12801080 instead of 1920x1080.

Maybe I am way off base here but that is my understanding of the technology and terminology.
