I LOVE that game!! I actually just downloaded it from Wii's Virtual Console. I remember those Neo-Geo systems, $700 or some crazy thing like that.

I used to Love baseball stars, never played the 2nd. There was also a boxing game.. I think it was called Final Blow.. I loved the hell out of that too!!
Never owned a Neo-Geo, but played the ones in the arcade that you could select the game. Always wanted one, the graphics were GREAT for it's time.

I remeber that Neogeo was very expensive, had huge cartridges, and tons of SNK fighting games. Grafix were amazing for its time.

Yes, Neo-Geo was awesome in it's time. I think the price scared alot of gamers away, especially $500 for a cartridge. Given that, it was impressive though. I loved the side scrollers.;)

I've never had a Neo Geo, one of the few consoles I havn't bought though I'd be intersted cept most of the content is beat em ups which don't appeal to me at all.

However I do have a Neo Geo Pocket, and I have to say it's my favourite handheld of all time. SNK are sorely missed by me, along with SEGA (as a hardware manufacturer.. I think a lot of their studios passion went with the hardware side)

I have a few NeoGeo arcade systems.

You can pick them up for around 30 off eBay, and the games are anywhere from 5-100.

The AES (AES = home version, MVS = arcade version) cartridges still go for stupid money, where the arcade counterparts go for peanuts - there is no difference in the game apart from the look of the cartridge housing and the addition of 'Insert Coin' and the extra code to control this on the MVS cart.

Once again...took the words right out of my brain!

But yeah what I loved about the NeoGeo were its massive sprites, such awesome graphics for its time. :yippee:
