My HR20-100 croaked, got the HR20-700 replacement today, it runs warmer than the other one. I leave the cabinet door open and it is 127 degrees. The house is 76 degrees with ceiling fans going, with central a/c. I can't remember the temp on the 20-100, but it didn't feel as hot as this one.

Good thing you have A/C.

It is established that the -700 runs hotter than the -100 but some have said that the cooling fan and grills also allow more air flow across the temp probe, more in the -100 than the -700.

I hope that's the case, the 100 lasted only 4-1/2 months!

If you get a USB laptop cooler fan and place on top, you can lower your temp down to 109 to 111. I got mine at Staples. There are several threads here on the subject of cooling. Mine looks like this one
