hi,
i looked at my cable today and the coaxial i'm using with comcast is written as CATVX and the rest is the number.
do you think this quality of cable is fine for directtv or do they've to run the new wire for the house.
is this CATVX is compatible with directtv or not.
is this RG6 or RG59?
thanks

It should have either RG6 or RG59 (or another type RG) printed somewhere on the cable.

It is the lowest grade of cable sold. You may have problems with it in the future. Not saying you will, but it is the cheapest stuff out there.

I don't know how long your lines are, but even though it looks fine to you, you are absolutely losing frequency using that stuff to some degree. If you do a google on it, it will tell you all about it.

unless i've to re-wire the whole house. and there's no way to get into attic... so its tough to re-wire.
