My Anxiety About Dish Technician Appointments

Everytime I need Dish network to send over a technician..the tech either does'nt have the information written down about what the appointment's about or instead of sending me a supervisor like Dish said they would..am sent just a regular technician.Sometimes the supervisor is on the cell phone the tech carries and he talks to him about the appointment.

I have a tech "manager" coming this weekend to re locate my satelite dishes-to move them for a better signal. For the past week I've been having some anxiety about this appointment.Because in the past..atleast 95 per cent of the time I have had a problem with the technician's they send.Usually the guys are in a hurry to get to their next job and they don't want to do the whole job they're suppose to.It may be different this time..since I'll be paying $99.00 for this service call.Then again...they may mess it up again.

In the last tech visit a few weeks ago they were to secure the switchbox to the wall of the side of the roof..instead the guy used one nail..when he should of used 2 nails to secure the box.plus the creep gave me attitude and he acted as if he could care less about what I needed him to do.I should of reported him.With my luck he'll probably be coming to my place this weekend for the new repair call!
Maybe not.

I realize these are independent contractors hired by Dish Network.And it's a grab bag of who you'll get each time.Also these guys work for Directv too.They told me.
I know life's too short to worry about the small stuff.It's just that I enjoy my tv so much .This problem with the tech's always messing up is uneccessary and unproffessional.

I know that I have seen the email address of the DISH Network CEO posted somewhere in this forum before...

I remember reading that at least a couple of users have had good results when they have written to that email address. I'm sorry I can't remember for sure what it was... :confused:

It MAY be [email protected] but I can't say for sure~ ;)

I know my installers didn't exactly fill me with confidence either!!

The quality is dropping fast. I put in my first system in 1998 and I end up training them when they arrive. My problem is the inability of the techs to speak English.

You guys are scaring me. I have a tech due out tomorrow to install my just purchased 921 receiver. Pray for me...

you'll need ALOT of prayers! I had a technician come over who was going to install a 921 I had.The 921 would'nt even turn on ! It turned out to be broken.So I had to wait till Dish network mailed me a post paid sticker to return the darn thing in its original box.
Then Dish sent me ANOTHER 921..it came broken also ! By this time I just wanted a refund.Well,you have to wait 6 weeks after they get the 921 so they can determine if it's broken or not... then you possibly get your refund.
I was lucky enough to get my refund.They had made a mistake and forgot to submit my refund..so I had to wait about 2 months instead of 6 weeks for the refund.
Did you also know that the high definition picture is not as sharp looking when you have a 921 dvr? Two Dish technicians told me that.
I'll just stick with my 811 HD reciever.Who needs the 921 anyway?I DON'T !
