Nintendo Media Summit Event - Not Impressed

04-16-2008, 02:57 PM
So each year Nintendo does their pre-E3 Media Summit Event where they showcase a lot of their announced games. Rarely do they ever announce anything (thats for E3). Now usually these are awesome to read about and to watch the videos for. Last year we got glimpses of Mario Galaxy, and Metroid Prime Corruption amongst other awesome titles. Unfortunately, this year was a bit of a let down.

The title that was most interesting in the event wasn't even a Nintendo title, but rather an EA title in Boom Blox. Apparently the game is about as awesome as a double hawk.

Everything else seemed kind of bland... boring... or plain. I don't know, it just seemed better in the past years. What do you guys think?

Here is the list of major games that were playable:

Boom Blox
Wii Fit
Mario Kart Wii
Samba De Amigo
Rock Band (Wii)
Star Wars Force Unleashed

Amongst some smaller one.

Anyways you guys can check out the video/article HERE (http://wii.ign.com/articles/866/866553p1.html).

(yawn) except for SWFU. You'd think that by then 3rd parties would have some decent Wii games ready...

Is a double hawk a good thing??

Absolutely.

It's a joke from one of my favorite comedians: Dmitri Martin.

Isn't Boom Box that Spielberg game? What's it about? Looks like a Katamari-like hard to classify colorful waggle game.

Any videos of it.
