I liked Batman Begins and I have it on SD DVD, but I don't feel like double dipping for that one. Besides I got it used for less than $10 anyway.

If you liked the movie I highly recommend double dipping.. The movie looks and sounds awesome.

This is one of the about 20 titles I have double dipped on. Definitely worth the double dip IMO.

I just love, how the opinions differ about titles from forum to forum and review to review. I always thought, BB was supposed to be one of the very soft looking Warner titles, yet there are many with first hands experience saying the pq is great.

Let the double dipping begin! :D :D :D (sorry Mike, but you can fight this addiction with a little self-control :p ;) )

Self what? christ I got into HDM in May last year and have bought on average more than 2 titles a week since then  and most of them are UK purchases so have cost over $30 each >_<

It's not a remaster from all accounts, same tech specs as HD DVD release I believe.

As for the PQ, it's not bad (on HD DVD), but it's definitely overly soft. Far from terrible, just not in the same league as the finest HDM has to offer.

It's quite easy, really. See, i only ordered two HD DVDs today and only received one in the mail. It's not that hard to do and you don't end up carrying a big box with HDM home everyday.

Oh and i can pick up a Blu-ray i've ordered in a b&m store around the corner by friday and since i have a 40 Euro voucher, i only have to decide what second Blu-ray to get on that day.

Ok, maybe the thing with the self-control isn't my cup of Hefeweizen either, but you could at least try it....

 despite having 13 films on order atm, I am actually on track for a more restrained HDM lifestyle. :p It's now been long enough since I bought my earlier HD DVDs to be able to watch them again and be thoroughly engrossed :D

I'm also currenlty only picking up clearance titles as a general rule, and can wait for the Blu-ray releases I'm missing right now to come on general sale or for me to just want/need a film to watch on a Saturday night.

I mean if I don't buy HD DVDs at under a fiver each... when am I gonna buy em? :p I've paid about £70 to get those 13 titles, and one of them is a full season of Battlestar Galactica. Heck, it's gonna be a good long while before I'll be able to do that on Blu-ray, so I kinda feel a sense of urgency over the reduced and rarer full price HD DVDs.

Yep, i feel the same. I don't expect the prices to drop much further, if they do at all. In fact some titles might actually not be available any more in the future, except for places like eBay or some specialized i-net sellers with the usual rip-off prices.

Now is the time to buy. And pity the Blu-ray only people for sticking to "their" format and thereby missing out on the deals for some sweet HDM. Heck, i was ready to buy "Das Parfüm" on Blu at my local store for the 30 Euros they want for it (to show local demand for Blu-ray here, it's a small town :D ) but then i saw the HD DVD for 11 Euros at Amazon. Same movie, same encode, different case, 1/3 the price....
