PS3 dts-MA is Here. In Case You Were Wondering

dts-MA and a new PSN storefront. That's about it as far as I can tell.

Enjoy PS3 owners. People waiting for a SAL with comparable java crunching and decoders for the $399 price point.....maybe looking into a cryogenic sleep tank would be appropriate.;)

Those who said it would never happen......:p

The MA support does need ironing out. Many receivers are displaying PCM5.1, but sound is coming from all seven channels. Seems to be isolated to New Line releases. The dts-MA sampler BD is putting out 7.1 MA just fine.

are you sure because when I went under the sound settings and set it to manual DTS 5.1 as one of the sound options but DTSHDMA was not listed so are you sure it came with the update because this was not stated when you download just an easier and new psn store.

Still having trouble with that iDarren? Seriously, just plug an ethernet cable into it and click for the system update icon on the XMB. That's all there is to it.

Where are you having trouble? It really couldn't be easier. PM me if you are still having issues with it.

AFAIK, you can get the firmware off the PS3 website much like the Toshiba firmware on their website.

How do you have your audio connected? It won't show up if your doing optical.

Not having any trouble Kamspy, it's just that I haven't felt the need to use the internet connectivity yet and as such have been to lazy to "plug it in" :o

When I do I will follow your instructions and PM you if I have any probs, thanks :)
