i am tryin to hook up everything to my new mitsu dlp....i am usin some cheapy hdmi cables, and i am wondering if a 1.3a cable will make any difference...
and also, i would love for the t.v. to output the dolby digital signal that i think is being sent to it via the hdmi, but instead i am having to run the audio seperately, and it is kinda annoying...any help would be greatly appreciated.....

If your cheapy hdmi cable is working properly, you will see NO difference with an expensive one. The only way most TVs will output dolby digital signal, is when the original signal is received by the TV via the QAM or ATSC tuners. I don't know of any TV's that will output the DD received via HDMI.

PS: Newegg has an awesome brand of cables that are 1.3 AND cheap. I use them exclusively.

Just search Newegg.com for "Link Depot Ultra HDMI" for different lengths
