Can someone fill me in on why Saturday day games are not carried on DTV?

Look at every Saturday on DTV's schedule. Only late games.

Right now I cant watch the Braves game cause its not on MLB EI and the 2 channels I see it on give me 727(Not available in your area). So I looked at every saturday on DTV schedule and no days games.

I would call them but Id just get someone who doesnt have a clue.

Fox has the rights (like Fox bought and paid for exclusive rights) for afternoon games given to them by MLB. I would suggest that you vent to MLB, not DTV over this.

If you read the disclaimers before you signed up, this would not have come as a surprise. :p

Is that why I used my brothers sign in to watch the Braves game on MLBTV on mlb.com

DTV is in the wrong. MLB has changed that rule. MLBTV reflects the change....Extra Innings doesnt.

Actually, you're the one that's WRONG!... ...

National Live Blackout (Regular Season): Due to Major League Baseball national exclusivities, for each Saturday game beginning April 19, with a scheduled start time after 1:10 PM ET or before 7:05 PM ET, and for each Sunday game that begins after 5:00 PM ET, all scheduled webcasts of such games will be blacked out.

I watched the Braves/Nationals game today on MLBTV. It started after 1:10 EST and before 7:05. So after 19 April MLBTV will stop showing them as well?

Yup.... So it doesn't look like DTV is in the wrong as you put it.

No....This is an MLB rule due to contractual obligations with Fox for broadcast TELEVISION. MLB.com is not under the same broadcast restrictions. You can even watch the Sunday night ESPN games online as well. Direct has not say in it, whats so ever. If you look an InDemand, or EI on any other provider it is exactly the same. The gripe IS with MLB and FOX.

MLB is under those same restrictions, and after April 19th will NOT show any Saturday game between the hours mentioned above or Sunday evening games after 5pm eastern on MLB TV.

EPSN and FOX have a contract with MLB that require black outs.... It's that simple. We may not like it, but that's the rule.

You did not read what I typed. I said, MLB.com, not MLB.

MLB.COM blacks out games after 4/19 as well. They do this every year. Even on MLB.COM, you will be blacked out.

Can we move on?

Yes sir, I did read what you wrote.

MLB.com will be blacking out games as I previously said. The link I posted was from MLB TV, or MLB.com.

Thanks, didn't realize that. Only confirms further that this has nothing to do with Direct, or any provider for that matter.

Exactly.... My guess is there was more money in the TV contract for MLB if they gave FOX and ESPN exclusive rights on Saturday and Sunday.

The Extra Innings package offered in Canada(have a buddy in Windsor) is not affected by this blackout rule either. MLB needs to fix this 'cause it's bs imo. Were the last two weekends not blacked out?

I would imagine that is because there's no canada FOX stations. the only network stations they get up there come from the U.S.
