I have a standard directv receiver in my basement. I am getting a hd 47" lcd and would like to get a hr20 like i have in the living room. The receiver i have in the basement only has one rg6 cable. Do i just run another rg6 off the multiswitch they installed when everything was put in last year? IS there anything else i need to do in order to upgrade this box? thanks

Yes, you can just run a second line to it and be set. It will work with just the one but you wouldn't have the dual tuner capability and be able to record one station while watching another.

The sat dishes have a 4-way multi-switch built into the lnb. If you need more than 4 connections, an external multiswitch can be added.
