Black spots on 32" Polaroid.

Towards the top of my screen there are two very tiny black areas. Right on the border in the upper left area, there is a triangular black area of just a few pixels, a little to the right, there is a curve shaped black area about the same size. I just noticed these about a week ago, and they show up on all sources. What could be causing this?

Sounds like an issue with the panel, or one of the boards in the set. Time for a service call perhaps?

Dead pixels?

is it likely for pixels to die in bunches right next to each other?

What is the model number of your Polaroid HDTV?

How long have you owned it?

Bought it from WM on Black Friday, model # is TLX-03210B. I believe it was a special model made just for Black Friday.

Are you using the VGA input or the HDMI input?

I would guess it might be as likely as not.
"Bunched" failures could easily be related to a processing flaw during manufacturing.

Also, since as you describe the problem as a "pixel"/panel issue, and since it shows up on "all sources",
it would certainly not have anything to do with what cables you are using to connect to the TV.

Chalk up another "Cheap WallyWorld HDTV" disaster..I buy paper plates, duct tape, car wax etc. from WallyWorld but I would "Never" buy high end electronics from the seller of the cheapest products on the planet....You've got dead pixels take it back if its still under warranty...

I believe it was a special model made just for Black Friday.

everytime I see someone complain about having trouble with a piece of junk they bought at walmart, if they did a survey I would wager 60% of these sets get exchanged within 6 months....Makes me throw up a little in my mouth.....
