If this has been addressed before, I apologize in advance:

Can I install the b-band connectors directly out of the zinwell switch?

I'm re-wiring an install for my hr-21.

Thanks in advance for your input.

Directly no, it would be backwards if you did that. It does not need to be installed directly to the receiver though.

Not sure I understand your answer.

Connecting the b-band at the start of the feed, instead of the end of the feed, isn't reversing anything.

Maybe I've missed something, if so, I apologize in advance.

For you to come out of the multiswitch directly you would have to connect the male end of the BBC to the female output of the switch. Doing so would be backwards. So what you would need to do is place a small run coax between the two. But since the BBC is not waterproof I would recomended that it be done indoors.
