Well, after almost 3 months, and 2 of those months checking the mailbox in anticipation, my 5 free movies from the Toshiba offer actually arrived today:banana:  .
I was reading one of our fine members' post last week telling us that he had recieved his then, and I figured I mailed away for mine about one week after he did, and lookie there, the timing was right.

It is also nice that I didn't have to get any substituted movies. (I dreaded getting the Ninja Turtles or Charlie and the Chocolate factory in place of Full Metal Jacket)

Anyway, the movies I did get are:
Syriana (I have yet to see it)
Firewall (Saw it on SD-DVD, good movie)
Full Metal Jacket (Saw it many years ago)
Pitch Black (Saw it on SD-DVD, decent sci-fi-horror)
Freedom Writers (have not seen this one)

Did any of you guys get any of these, and can offer a quick review?

I thought Firewall was actually awful. At this point in Harrison Ford's career he needs to stop with the young stud tough guy image. I had a hard time believing the action sequences this time around.

Syriana didn't move me too much either, however, the recent Michael Claighton film was excellant. Into it from beginning to end.

Full Metal- classic worthy of having along with the other Nam era movies.
Pitch Black- good sci-fi, nice niche collectible.
Freedom Writers- in the Netflix quere.

Yea, the "stars" seem to be loosing their appeal to the general public. Films with new faces seem to making more $ at the box office.
