i found this on samsung in troubleshooting. does this make sense to anyone? anyone done this? does it work?

Resolution Settings

All HD cable and satellite boxes have resolution settings you can set to optimize the picture of your TV. This TV works best when it receives a 720p signal. To get the highest quality picture, set the box to output at 720p. If you do not know how to set the resolution, call your cable or satellite provider.

I personlly have my comcast box on 1080i (obviously there is no 1080i) so i thought 1080i would have been better than 720p, am i wrong?

Mrfizzed most folks here feel that downscaling a 1080i signal with more digital information is a better solution than upscaling a 720p signal which contains less digital information......

If the TV is native 1080p, then 1080i would also theoretically look better since it avoids any scaling.
